HIRING: Accounting Manager | Jacksonville, FL, 32210 We’re partnering with a nonprofit organization seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager who can step in, solve accounting issues, improve processes, and make an immediate impact. This is NOT a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. We’re looking for a technically strong accountant who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across AR, AP, reconciliations, GL, and month‑end close. What you’ll be doing: Reconcile customer accounts from invoice → payment → outstanding balance Research cash application, unapplied payments & discrepancies Support AR and collection efforts Oversee and support the full AP process Prepare journal entries, accruals & account reconciliations Play a hands‑on role in month‑end close Identify root causes of accounting issues and improve processes Strengthen internal controls and accounting workflows Train, coach & develop an AP Specialist Serve as a key resource for Sage Intacct Explore practical ways to leverage technology & AI to improve efficiency What we’re looking for: Strong Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant experience Recent, hands‑on Sage Intacct experience — REQUIRED Strong AR experience, including reconciliations & cash application Solid AP, GL & month‑end close experience Advanced Excel skills — VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, IF/IFERROR, complex formulas & data analysis Experience troubleshooting accounting issues independently Leadership, training & process improvement experience Nonprofit accounting experience is a PLUS, but strong technical accounting skills are more important. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ascendo-Resources
