Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay Rate: $30-36/hr+ DOE

Location: Santa Fe, TX

We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to join our client’s manufacturing team in Santa Fe, Texas. The ideal candidate is a true craftsman who takes pride in precision, quality, and safety. You aren't just an operator; you have a deep understanding of manual machining processes and the mechanical intuition to evaluate a drawing and know exactly how to set up the tooling. Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine equipment, materials, and sequence of operations.
• Independently set up, configure, and operate manual machining equipment to fabricate tight-tolerance valve parts and components.
• Perform continuous in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure strict conformity to manufacturing standards.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine feeds, speeds, and tooling to optimize production and ensure exceptional surface finishes.
• Finish projects using manual hand tools where necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional manual machining experience in an industrial manufacturing or job-shop environment.
• Equipment Mastery: Proven expertise in setting up and operating Bridgeport knee mills and Cincinnati machines, as well as horizontal boring mills, vertical turning lathes (VTL), radial drills, and engine lathes.
• Material Knowledge: Strong experience turning and milling carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty industrial plastics (Nylon and PEEK).
• Technical Skills: Strong mathematical skills and the ability to independently evaluate parts and drawings to set up tooling accordingly.
• Industry Background: Prior experience in valve manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
