Location: Santa Fe, TX

Schedule: M - F 7a - 3:30p

CNC Lead Programmer Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a large family-owned manufacturer who is seeking a CNC Lead Programmer.  The CNC Lead Programmer will lead projects from digital models to a finished, high precision product as you mentor junior machinists with your knowledge of programming and machine operation. The ideal CNC Lead Programmer has multiple years of hand-on experience operating and running CNC Machines, has extensive programming knowledge as well as solid understanding of Fanuc and MAPPS Controls. The CNC Lead Programmer is a full-time, temp to hire position in Santa Fe, TX.

CNC Lead Programmer Job Responsibilities:  

• Develop & Test CNC Programs For Complex Valve Components Using EdgeCam & Fusion 360
• Setup & Perform Full Serups & Operations on Doosan & Mori Seiki Multi-Axis Mills & Lathes 
• Select Appropriate Cutting Tools, Attachments, & Fixtures, Designing Custom Work-Holding Solutions as Needed
• Read & Interpret Engineering Drawings, Blueprints, & GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Specifications 
• Edit G-Code at The Machine Under Fanuc Controls to Improve Cycle Times, Tool Life, & Part Quality 
• Inspect The First-Article & Finish Parts Using Micrometers, Calipers, & Gauges to Ensure High-Quality Standards 
• Adhere to All Safety & PPE Requirements

CNC Lead Programmer Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 5+ Years of Recent CNC Machining & Programming Experience Required 
• Proven Experience in Setting up & Running Doosan & Mori-Seiki Equipment 
• EdgeCam & Fusion 360 For Toolpath Generation & 3D Modeling 
• Previous Oil & Gas or Valve Experience in Manufacturing With Fanuc & or MAPPS Controls 
• Ability to Mentor Junior Junior Machinists & Troubleshooting Complex programming Issues on The Fly 
• Must be Comfortable With Lathe (Turning) & Mill Operation 
• Superb Knowledge of Speed/Feeds For Various Metals (Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, & Exotic Alloys Common in Manufacturing)
• Excellent Organizational, Leadership & Problem Solving Skills
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
