Summit Employment is seeking a Quality Inspector for cabinet manufacturer in Wichita, KS. This position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Quality Department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of the materials to ensure specifications have been met.
• Monitor operations and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications and relay any imperfections to management.
• Examine finished workpieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut and conformity.
• Verify trueness of structure.
• Follow standard operational procedures.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and department expectations.
• Results oriented while maintaining attention to detail, to include the ability to see color variations of the workpieces.
• Ability to follow processes and directions while demonstrating a willingness to learn.
• Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems in high stress, fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of production processes.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, procedures and strategies to promote effective, secure operations.

Job Qualifications and Education

• 1 year of quality inspector experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, prioritization and time management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on a timely basis.
• Preferred experience in cabinet manufacturing

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Able to walk up stairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
