STATE PARK INTERPRETER I - SIERRA DISTRICT / BODIE STATE HISTORIC PARK (MONO COUNTY)

The reporting location is Bodie State Historic Park (Highway 270, Bridgeport, CA 93517). This position will work under the supervision of the State Park Interpreter III.


The State Park Interpreter I will conduct interpretive and educational programs, including historic walks, guided tours, school field trips, Junior Ranger activities, special events, and informal visitor contacts; provide interpretation related to Bodie's mining history, cultural resources, and preservation efforts; assist with developing and delivering educational outreach programs; train, lead, and integrate visitor services staff in the park's interpretive offerings; develop and implement virtual and remote-learning interpretive programming and social media content; track and report interpretive program data and statistics; answer questions regarding park facilities, resources, rules, and regulations; assist with maintaining interpretive collections and historic structures; assist with visitor services and Bodie Foundation sales; and do other related work as assigned.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.
