About the Role As a Front Desk / Member Services team member you will play a pivotal and vital role in the sales and player experience process. Your communications skills and positive and vibrant attitude will be critical in this customer facing and experience focused position. We are currently looking for someone to work the opening shift starting at 6:30 AM on weekends, or for one weekend day plus one weekday. There will also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts. Help us provide the best racquet sports playing experience in New York City! Responsibilities Manage online, phone, and in-person reservations for courts and programs. Welcome players and members, check them in, and explain the club’s facilities and amenities. Help promote and sell club membership and its benefits as part of the Advantage Tennis Club’s community. Take payments from customers. Respond to player and member issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner. Communicate those issues to the appropriate manager or department in a timely manner. Work with other team members to ensure that all courts and facilities meet Advantage Tennis Clubs standards and accommodate any special member or player needs. Communicate effectively so that your team understands your needs and can effectively help them with their needs for the maximization of our business. Qualifications Proven experience in a sales or communications based role. Best in class people skills that are consistent and inspire others around them to “step up their game.” Solid and ample experience with business and sales management software. Can handle a face-paced environment that requires multi-tasking at certain times. Required Skills You love working with people and engaging in face-to-face customer relationships. You have a service minded attitude and are able to anticipate customer needs and wants. You are a solid communicator, both verbal and written. Telephone communication skills are an absolute must. You have a hands-on attitude and lead-by-example working style. You have an impressive attention to detail with an anticipatory outlook. You are a problem solver, creative thinker, and have an ability to think outside of the box. You are organized and structured in your process. While it's not a requirement, the love of or enjoyment of the game of tennis is a major plus. Preferred Skills Experience level: Two to five years. Pay range and compensation package Compensation: Range at $19.00 - 22.00 per hour. Benefits include club membership and employee rates on programs and courts.
