We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our School Mental Health Team at Pro Mental Balance Advocate, Inc. In this full-time remote position, you will provide essential mental health services to students within a supportive educational setting, playing a vital role in fostering their emotional and psychological well-being.

Work Environment\n

Your office will be the remote space of your choice, coupled with opportunities to engage directly with students in a school setting in Converse, Texas. This job fosters flexibility while ensuring you can contribute significantly to student wellness. You will primarily work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts, rotating weekends, and on-call responsibilities to respond to urgent matters.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of students, taking into consideration their personal histories, current challenges, and unique risk factors.
\n
• Collaborate actively with students to design and implement tailored treatment plans that address mental health challenges and promote emotional well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed therapy, to treat a variety of mental health issues.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to promote personal development, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies among students.
\n
• Work in partnership with fellow mental health professionals—such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners—to ensure comprehensive support and continuity of care.

• Provide crisis intervention services to address urgent mental health situations, ensuring students receive timely and effective support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Working primarily within a school environment, you will be focused on a diverse population of students who may be facing a multitude of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, and more. Your work will be fundamental in helping these young individuals navigate their mental health challenges and achieve their educational and personal goals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health or educational setting is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care principles.
\n
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing personalized treatment plans.
\n
• Proficiency in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating rapport with students and their families.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, with professionals from diverse disciplines.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and competent use of technology.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in school mental health services or similar educational environments is highly desirable.
