The Director of Marketing is responsible for the successful overall direction and management of all activities related to the casino's marketing and player promotion initiatives. This position is responsible for ensuring effective promotions, managing VIP events and the Social Club. This position is responsible for ensuring effective promotions, and events, as well as maintaining good public relations. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the successful overall direction and management of all activities related to the casino's promotion and special event initiatives.
2. Oversee the development, implementation and accountability of all promotional campaigns, giveaways, VIP events, and service initiatives for the expansion of revenues and increased customer loyalty.
3. Create a competitive advantage through the design, development and implementation of marketing programs.
4. Work closely with operations to coordinate new programs that promote maximum growth opportunities.
5. Assists in creation and execution of Marketing business plans to ensure performance and profit objectives for short and long-term goals are met
6. Ensure the proper preparation and execution of all special and promotional events
7. Review analysis and identifies promotions/events schedule for the casino customer base to ensure targeted markets are maintained.
8. Direct the Marketing Manager to develop effective on-floor promotions.
9. Coordinate with the Motorcoach Sales Manager to assist with the execution of effective motorcoach -marketing strategies.
10. Coordinate with Player Development to help develop, coordinate and implement player programs for increased visitation from VIP clientele.
11. Oversees all facets of Social club/Promotions Booth.
12. Direct and monitor all marketing analysis for accuracy and reports pertinent information Vice President of Loyalty Marketing.
13. Develop and oversee departmental budgets, track revenue performance, and analyze variances against forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:
1. Develops, mentors and trains enrolled Seneca Nation members for future senior management positions within the company.
2. Oversees departmental administrative matters and ensures HR is consulted as appropriate. Meets with staff on a regular basis and with entire department no less than 3 times per year.
3. Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, evaluation, coaching and discipline, terminations and other personnel related issues.
4. Responsible for ensuring the department adheres to all company policies and internal controls, including but not limited to Compact, Human Resources, TERO compliance guidelines and Purchasing.
5. Prepares the annual budget and monitors to ensure attainment of goals. Manages labor and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage at all times while minimizing overtime.
6. Liaise with other department/company management to ensure consistency and smooth flow of information, policies and procedures.
7. Maintains a strong network of contacts throughout the industry to facilitate both formal and informal gathering of information.
8. Runs the department and design policies and training that result in exceptional customer service to all patrons. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
9. Keeps abreast of industry trends, new technology and practices as they relate to his/her area(s) of responsibility.
10. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
11. Attends all necessary meetings to stay informed; including company and community meetings.
12. Oversees an operation that is 24/7, and may be inclusive of work weeks that consist of 6 days. This individual is on-call and requires accessibility 24/7.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
1. Must be 21 years of age or older upon employment.
2. Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Marketing, Business, Communications preferred or equivalent experience required.
3. Ten years (10) experience in marketing with five (5) years in the gaming industry preferred;
4. Three (3) years' experience in a management role is required within Promotions and Events. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills required.
5. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complicated documents, such as technical journals, financial and statistical reports and legal documents with an ability to respond to complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to present information to top management, public groups and/or Seneca Gaming Authority.
6. Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and provide solutions.
7. Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and employees.
8. Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, and hands-on professional with staff management experience.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1. Must possess excellent communicate skills.
2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
4. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Salary Starting Rate:
$89,960.59
Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
