Senior Process Analyst (Business Analysis, Senior Analyst)The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Process Analyst with federal accounting experience to work on a consulting team providing analysis and recommendations to a Federal Client in Washington, DC. This role involves working with clients to analyze and document current business policies and processes and developing updated policies and procedures to support internal operations.This position currently requires a remote schedule with possible in-person meetings at the client site in Washington DC. The schedule is subject to change based on client, MIL, and contract requirements.This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. We are proactively identifying and engaging with qualified candidates. While candidates may be contacted for pre-screening, any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate accounting activities for alignment with applicable statutes, regulations, and standards of the federal government, and with leading practices.Identify needed updates and review with client staff.Evaluate completeness and accuracy of data.Assess efficiency and effectiveness of processes.Review processes and systems against best practicesConsider and evaluate stakeholder needsLook for strengths and weaknesses of financial processes across organizations and systemsIdentify needed enhancements to policies, activities, and systemsMap key business processes affected by policy and functional changesDevelop improvements to governance and managementCreate process change recommendationsContribute to creation of client reports on findings and recommendationsContribute to the preparation of presentations to colleagues and client representativesPrepare and edit standard operating procedures for user and leadership audiencesGuide development of business process documentation and standardization of policiesLead organizational analysis and development effortsCoordinate work with client teams to help ensure people and process goals are aligned with requirementsFacilitate work and communication between client and consulting staff and executivesInterpret documentation standards and preparing documentation according to the standardsTravelNone expectedRequired Qualifications5 - 6 years of relevant experienceFour years of overall experience in business analysis and process improvementRelated experience in federal accounting, budgeting, or financial managementStrong consulting and analytical skillsAbility to support discussions with clients and stakeholdersStrong verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work independently and on small, focused consulting teams in a dynamic environmentFocus on quality delivery and ability to incorporate constructive feedbackDesired QualificationsExperience in processes or operations at one or more US federal agenciesExperience in creation of polices and standard operating proceduresEducationBA/BSClearanceMust be able to obtain a Public Trust. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
