Teeny Violini is a community-based music education program of New Canon Chamber Collective that provides music education to preschools, early learning centers, schools, and community-based programs. Teeny Violini promotes social and emotional wellness through creative expression and uses the Colorful Violin method, an innovative early learning approach that engages students in music through literacy, shapes, and colors.

Position Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall development, quality, and execution of Teeny Violini’s music education programming, overseeing internal program operations as well as external school, site, and community partnerships. This role manages program logistics, supports program growth and expansion, and ensures programming is delivered consistently and effectively across preschools, early learning centers, schools, and community programs. The Program Manager supervises and supports Teaching Artists, Teaching Artists in Training, and Teaching Artist Interns, providing guidance and feedback to maintain high-quality instruction and a consistent student experience, while working closely with internal team members and external partners to address program needs, improve implementation, and ensure programming remains aligned with Teeny Violini’s curriculum, standards, and mission.

Tasks

• Coordinate and lead music class demos at preschools, early learning centers, and afterschool programs in Broward and Miami Dade County. 
• Maintain detailed records of class schedules, program expenses, and other program data, including student rosters, MOUs and other materials. 
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop social media content and engagement strategies to expose programs. 
• Plan, develop agendas for, and lead weekly Teaching Artist meetings, coordinating with the HR & Operations Manager for support as needed..
• Attend all weekly team and administration meetings. 
• Observe program execution, provide feedback, and support curriculum refinement to ensure adherence to Teeny Violini’s curriculum and educational and artistic standards.
• Create and maintain Teaching Artist schedules, ensuring Sling accurately reflects scheduled and actual hours worked; schedules are subject to final approval by the HR & Operations Manager.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, and procurement. 
• Provide the Development Manager with all required program data, stats, and updates needed for grant proposals and reports, and collaborate with administrative staff as needed.
• Ensure timely collection and organization of MOUs, student rosters, feedback surveys and other materials from partner schools. 
• Research and identify potential partners that align with the organization’s strategic and program expansion objectives.
• Collaborate with team members and schools/sites to plan, schedule, and coordinate all student recitals and performances. 
• Coordinate Teeny Violini creative projects as needed, collaborating with team members and community partners to support successful execution within established budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site visits across all Teeny Violini locations, ensuring that a minimum of 8 sites are visited each week and that all program sites are observed at least twice per semester.
• Lead partnership negotiations and develop, draft, and finalize partnership agreements, contracts, and memorandums of understanding (MOUs), submitting all documents to the HR & Operations Manager for review and approval prior to execution.
• Collaborate with the HR & Operations Manager in evaluating Teaching Artists by providing weekly observations, feedback, and relevant program information.
• Assist in the development and refinement of program curriculum and instructional materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with current and potential partners and schools to ensure program alignment and continuity. 
• Monitor and evaluate the performance and outcomes of partnerships and report progress and results.
• Oversee the quality execution of music classes, ensuring smooth scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation. Serve as a backup teacher when necessary to maintain program continuity.
• Ensure all inventory items, including instruments, shirts, and program materials, are regularly tracked, accounted for, and reported as needed.
• Attend all partner events, professional development opportunities, and networking meetings.
• Act as a liaison between Arts Access and Teeny Violini, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and consistent coordination of program needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure recitals/festivals are coordinated and executed successfully. 
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Teaching Artist in Training and interns during their placement, supporting their learning, development, and successful integration into program operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Music or Arts related field (required). 
• 2+ years experience in arts administration, education program management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of arts-based curriculum development and implementation (required). 
• 2+ years of music teaching experience, preferably in early childhood education.
• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in at least one musical instrument, with the ability to demonstrate strong technical and musical skills (required). 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Proficiency in using standard office software and digital tools. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background check and fingerprinting.
• Strong ethical and discreet handling of confidential information.

Working Conditions

Work is based in South Florida and includes a mix of office (2-3 days per week), remote, site visits and community-based activities. General hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–6:00 pm, with flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends to support programs and events. Local travel across Broward County and Miami-Dade County, including North Broward and Homestead; reliable transportation and proof of insurance is required.
