Customer Billing SME / Designer

Responsibilities Provide specialized insights in CSS (Customer/1), service order and Billing. Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS. Work closely with business analysts, business team and project managers to understand requirements and implement solutions. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and data security policies. Assist with project documentation and training materials. Coordinate with support teams to ensure timely issue resolution. Develop and maintain an understanding of customer‑specific business environments and service level agreements. Identify and resolve customer problems using defined procedures and document troubleshooting efforts. Requirements Deep expertise in Customer Service Systems (CSS). Proficient in CSS functional area – Service orders (primary area), Billing and Finance. Experience in application development using mainframe technologies (C/1 package, COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL and C). Collaborate with technical teams to validate functionality and support system, lifecycle, and regression testing. Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate defect reporting and resolution. Compensation The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
