Clerk, Accounts Payable Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing internal and external invoices, team member expense reports, as well as ensuring vendors are approved prior to payment. This position is also responsible for providing customer service to team members for a variety of questions and concerns. This clerical Full-Time position works Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm, some overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required as job duties demand. Limited travel may be needed for this position. Responsibilities - Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing payment - Process customer and vendor invoices to ensure accurate payments - Generate checks for payment, distribute and or mail checks as directed - Research vendor statements, resolve any discrepancies - Answer vendor inquiries - File invoices, maintain records keeping system - Obtain primary financial data for accounting records - Compute and record numerical data - Process internal expense reports - Check the accuracy of all Accounts Payable processing - Perform other tasks or duties as required or needed Qualifications - Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred - High School Diploma/GED required with at least 3 years of full-time accounting experience - Knowledge of GAAP is preferred - Ability to work in a team environment - Lead by example and follow company policies and ethical standards - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral - Excellent attendance and work history - Must be professional and be confidential with all company related information - Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office - Strong analytical background - Ability to work occasional overtime, including weekends as required - Understands the importance of goal attainment and meeting various deadlines - Ability to promptly and competently respond to team member inquiries - Upon offer applicant must successfully pass a background check Work Environment & Physical Demands - This job operates in a professional office environment.
