RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
• No call responsibilities
• Float required as needed to other Cone Health campuses
• Must work Charge RN shifts as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic patients as well as medical surgical patients
• Work with special equipment including CPMs, Buck's Traction, neck and back braces
• Unit accommodates ED patients with high acuity
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Skills include wound care, telemetry monitoring, IV management, medication administration, and post-surgical care

Facility:

This medical center features a comprehensive 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides specialized care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility includes telemetry monitoring capabilities and an on-unit physical therapy gym that allows patients to receive rehabilitation services without leaving the unit. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
