Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of both couples and individual clients to develop tailored treatment plans.
\n
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, while also offering individual sessions to each partner as necessary.
\n
• Providing psychotherapy for various issues such as alcohol abuse, conflicts among family members, grief and loss, and more.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to enhance patient outcomes, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, family members, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated care for clients with complex needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with a diverse client base, focusing on both adults and children/adolescents. Typical therapy topics may include the dynamics of blended families, adjustment issues related to separation or divorce, and assistance with handling job-related stress. Your approach will be holistic, aiming to address not just the presenting issues but also the underlying family dynamics that contribute to the client’s challenges.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• An active License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
