Sr. Accountant

Sr. Accountant - Whitewater, WI Environment: Fast-moving, growth-oriented, hands-on accounting team. Role Overview The Sr. Accountant will play a key role in core accounting operations with a strong emphasis on cost accounting, month-end close, and general ledger ownership. This person will be a critical contributor to an evolving finance function and must bring a growth mindset to keep pace with a dynamic, rapidly scaling organization. Top Responsibilities Lead and support cost accounting activities, including inventory analysis, standard cost updates, and variance review. Own key components of the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with strong attention to detail. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Partner cross-functionally to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Assist with audits, reporting, and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong cost accounting background. Proven experience with month-end close and general ledger management. Solid understanding of GAAP. Growth mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment. Software: NetSuite (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills. Background: Ideally someone with a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
