Registered Nurse - ICU

Trauma Icu Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to trauma patients in a Level I Trauma ICU setting, ensuring patient stability and recovery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and develop individualized care plans based on clinical protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and standards of care.
• Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and response to interventions, adjusting care as needed.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, including float coverage in ICU, IMC, and Tele units.
• Comply with federal, state, and hospital regulations, including travel and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active registered nurse license in the state or compact licensing region.
• Have at least 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in trauma or critical care units.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and trauma patient management.
• Maintain certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, with PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Capable of managing patient ratios of 1:2 in a high-acuity environment.
• Possess excellent clinical assessment skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
