A hospital is seeking a skilled Night Pharmacist in Chicago, IL, for a contract position lasting approximately 13 weeks. This opportunity offers a unique 7-on, 7-off schedule with night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Immediate availability is preferred, and candidates should be ready to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies and patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize dosing and therapy
• Utilize hospital systems including EPIC and Pyxis effectively

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience is essential
• Comfortable and capable of working night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off rotation
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and automated dispensing systems (EPIC and Pyxis preferred)

• 7 days on, 7 days off pattern
