Confidential Employer. Job Description Defend clients in consumer finance litigation involving credit cards, mortgage lending, auto finance, and other lending products. Handle consumer finance disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration forums. Defend claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Handle California consumer protection matters involving the Rosenthal Act, California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (CCRAA), and related common law claims. Conduct legal research and develop persuasive litigation strategies. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents. Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to manage matters efficiently. Contribute to consumer class action defense matters when applicable. Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across multiple active matters. Qualifications Active California Bar license. 3+ years of relevant consumer finance litigation defense experience. Experience defending matters involving credit card, mortgage, auto finance, or other lending products. Experience with FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA, and California consumer protection statutes preferred. Strong legal research and writing skills. Experience handling litigation in state and federal courts and/or arbitration forums. Consumer class action defense experience desired. Ability to work at least 3 days per week in the office.
