About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Human Resources to take on a strategic and hands-on role in leading the HR and Payroll functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and executing the company's HR strategy, developing and leading the HR and Payroll teams, and ensuring a strong partnership with operations. This executive will oversee a wide range of HR activities, including employment compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits, HR systems, policies, training, succession planning, and leadership development. The role requires a leader who can effectively engage with all levels of the organization, from the executive team to front-line employees, and who can build and maintain programs that support a high-performing and compliant workforce. Applicants for the Vice President of Human Resources position at the company should have 10-15 years' of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years' in a leadership role. A strong background in payroll operations, wage and hour compliance, and experience in a multi-state, complex organizational setting is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of California employment law and experience in industries with a large, distributed, and safety-sensitive workforce. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in building and implementing compensation structures, incentive programs, and benefits strategies. Experience in HRIS and payroll system implementation is required, with a preference for those who have worked with Dayforce. A Bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement, and advanced HR certifications or degrees are preferred.
