Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby/Nursery Unit Information This position is within a Maternity Care Center that provides a comprehensive range of services to mothers and newborns. Number of Beds: 9 Labor and Delivery (LDR); 8 Post-Partum/Gynecology (PP/GYN); 2 Operating Room (OR) suites; 23 well-baby nursery beds Number of Staff: 50 Patient Ratios: 3 couplets per nurse; 1:1 for Labor and Delivery during active labor, Pitocin usage, or epidural administration Type of Equipment: Corometrics monitoring systems Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech Job Requirements Must Have: Experience in Obstetrics (OB) BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certification Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a circulator, first assist, or scrub for cesarean sections Typical Procedures Performed Labor and Delivery Cesarean sections Post-partum and newborn care OBED triage and inductions Collaboration with midwives Ideal Candidate Attributes Energetic and self-directed Work Environment Floating Area: Within the unit; no rotation to other departments Dress Code: Scrubs provided Schedule Shifts follow a 4-week schedule, including 4 weekend shifts. Weekend duties fall on Saturday and Sunday, with night shifts on Friday and Saturday. While there is no on-call requirement for travel staff, opportunities for extra shifts may arise.
