Details Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital environment Cardiac and telemetry patient population including COPD, CAD, CHF, AFib, and Sepsis cases Patient ratio of 1:4 Performs skills such as starting IVs, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and bedside cardioversion Utilizes Epic EMR Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 13-week assignment length Requirements Active IL RN license Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management preferred Community hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and management of chest tubes and cardiac drips Navy scrubs required for this role First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible, as local candidates are not accepted Clinicians cannot work more than 1 year as a traveler at this facility without taking a 6-month break before returning American Traveler Job ID P-744768.
