Position Summary

The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping and laundry operation, making sure every guest room and public area meets brand standards for cleanliness, safety, and appearance while delivering an outstanding guest experience and managing labor and supply costs. This position reports to the General Manager.

Essential Duties

• Direct daily housekeeping and laundry operations, including guest rooms, corridors, lobby, public restrooms, and other public areas.
• Interview, select, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate Room Attendants, Housepersons, Laundry Attendants, and Housekeeping Supervisors, and recommend discipline when needed.
• Prepare schedules and room assignments based on occupancy, and manage labor hours to budget.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, condition, and safety, and correct deficiencies with team members.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly, and follow up to make sure the guest is satisfied.
• Track guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores, and share results with the team to drive improvement.
• Manage inventory, par levels, linens, chemicals, and supplies, and place orders on time.
• Work with Engineering and the Front Desk on maintenance needs and room status.
• Make sure all team members follow safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and brand standards, and meet California wage and hour requirements, including meal and rest periods.
• Prepare departmental reports and paperwork, and help develop and apply department policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hotel housekeeping management or supervisory experience. Hilton or similar brand experience preferred.
• Hotel or hospitality degree preferred, not required.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, labor scheduling, and inventory control.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate well enough to complete reports, read safety labels, and direct team members and guests.
• Computer skills sufficient to use scheduling, email, and property management systems.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as hotels operate every day.

Physical Demands

Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to stand and walk for extended periods, and to frequently bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push or pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $72,400 per year.
