Work Environment This position offers a full-time remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while still being an integral part of our outpatient office operations. While primarily working from home, you will engage in regular virtual meetings with your colleagues, participate in community outreach initiatives, and connect with clients directly to deliver high-quality mental health support. Key Responsibilities Participate in community engagement activities aimed at fostering holistic wellness and village-building within birthing populations. Engage in clinical consultation, contributing to multidisciplinary co-learning practices that enhance the quality of care. Complete all necessary clinical documentation in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide direct mental health services, including thorough behavioral health assessments, personalized counseling, and effective case management for Black birthing families. Consult with prenatal care team members, including physicians, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants, to promote integrated and comprehensive care plans. Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups, collaborating intimately with birth workers to support families during critical transitions. Take initiative in exploring opportunities for professional development and community partnerships to support organizational goals. Patient Population / Client Focus Our primary focus is on serving Black birthing families, recognizing the unique challenges they face. By addressing their specific mental health needs, we aim to improve parent-child interactions and family cohesion, ultimately contributing to healthier familial structures. Your expertise as a licensed counselor will help empower these individuals, aiding them in achieving their full potential during the transformative experience of childbirth and early parenting. Qualifications A Master's degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for professionalism in interactions with a diverse clientele and interdisciplinary team. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of care. Willingness to seek assistance when needed, fostering a collaborative work environment. Preferred Experience Experience in providing mental health services to pregnant and postpartum individuals. Familiarity with community-based programs that support family health and wellness. Skill in group facilitation and peer support dynamics, particularly in educational settings. Knowledge of culturally responsive practices that enhance engagement with diverse populations. Compensation and Benefits A competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually for full-time positions.
