Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ emotional and psychological needs, developing personalized treatment plans based on their unique circumstances. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to facilitate individual and group therapy sessions effectively. Design and lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups that create a community space for individuals grappling with similar mental health challenges. Collaborate actively in care coordination with other healthcare professionals, ensuring every patient receives comprehensive and effective treatment. Provide immediate crisis intervention services, offering support and guidance during mental health emergencies to prevent escalation and ensure patient safety. Educate patients about their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local resources, empowering them to make informed healthcare decisions. Maintain meticulous documentation of sessions and treatment plans while adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practices. Engage in ongoing case consultations and participate in team meetings to discuss best practices, share insights, and enhance treatment strategies. Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health therapy and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals of varying ages and backgrounds struggling with mental health disorders. You will tailor your approach to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based strategies to foster healing and growth. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in California, demonstrating compliance with state regulations. Solid experience in providing group and individual therapy, particularly in settings serving diverse populations. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience.
