Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to set individualized treatment goals for each client.
• Provide a range of prevention-oriented therapeutic services, ensuring that clients receive appropriate care tailored to their needs.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
• Work closely with additional treatment providers and placement agencies to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, adhering to compliance standards with confidentiality regulations.
• Manage a caseload of clients effectively, ensuring that all therapeutic interventions are well-documented and articulated.
• Participate in regular staff meetings to enhance teamwork and share best practices.
• Contribute positively to our organizational culture, ensuring that it remains enriching and beneficial for both clients and staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center serves a diverse population, encompassing individuals of all ages who face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As a licensed mental health counselor at CloudWave Therapy Center, you will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and work collaboratively to empower them on their journey to recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A valid and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience of at least two years in mental health counseling or a related area.
• Strong knowledge of community mental health resources and referral networks within Richmond, Virginia.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective counselor-client interactions.
• A proven ability to build rapport with clients and establish trust during therapeutic interactions.
• Leadership qualities and a passion for mentoring peers and contributing to team development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or families, is a plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
• Previous involvement in program development or community outreach initiatives is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
