Harmony Minds Therapy Center is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time remote position. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history.
• Developing, implementing, and adapting individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and personal growth.
• Providing skilled therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care plan that prioritizes the holistic needs of each patient.
• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.
• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Keeping abreast of the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to ensure the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse client base that includes individuals experiencing various forms of trauma, from childhood abuse to traumatic life events. Your expertise will empower patients to confront and navigate their trauma, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust and safety.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.
• A solid foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• The ability to remain calm in high-stress situations, providing a stable presence for patients in crisis.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative spirit, with a commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with less experience who show a passion for trauma therapy and commitment to ongoing professional development may also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits
