Deeper Strength Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our supportive team. This full-time remote position empowers you to make a significant impact on the mental health of diverse communities through telehealth services.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing you to serve clients from the comfort of your own home. Our practice utilizes advanced telehealth platforms to ensure that therapy remains accessible and effective for all patients. While the schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, flexibility may be required to accommodate varying patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments that consider each patient's unique background and experiences.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to diverse populations.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address various mental health concerns and empower patients to foster resilience and well-being.
• Work collaboratively with a team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, various treatment options, and available community resources, guiding them toward recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery.
• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and trends in mental health therapy to continually improve service quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base includes individuals from multicultural backgrounds, with a particular focus on ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ clients, and immigrant populations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to employ a culturally responsive approach, directly contributing to the mental well-being of those who often face unique challenges in accessing mental health resources.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.
• Robust understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches integrated with cultural competence.
• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy using inclusive methodologies that respect diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to provide calm, effective support in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with a diverse group of clients.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to upholding ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health counseling role, specifically with marginalized or underserved communities.
• Proven record of implementing culturally responsive therapy strategies that demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, Deeper Strength Counseling Services provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
