Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team at Cygnus Behavioral Health Services. This full-time, remote position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, depending on qualifications and experience. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide essential support to individuals seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol through personalized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions. Work Environment This position is fully remote, providing you the flexibility to manage your own schedule while working from the comfort of your own home. Our work facility is an outpatient office that focuses on delivering care without the limitations often associated with traditional settings. Key Responsibilities Establish your own availability to accommodate your lifestyle, with no minimum hours required. Receive compensation for late cancellations and no-shows, ensuring you are rewarded for your time. Participate in annual continuing education units (CEU), with the costs covered by Cygnus Behavioral Health Services. Minimize administrative responsibilities by allowing our team to manage billing and scheduling tasks. Collaborate with our Content Manager to create "Expert Insights," sharing your knowledge with a broader audience, if desired. Optionally lead support groups to enhance community support for clients. Receive client referrals to maintain a steady flow of new patients. Focus on your clinical practice while benefiting from seamless backend support. Engage with Clinical Operations Teams for immediate access to support and resources. Participate in Monthly Peer Group meetings to foster professional collaboration. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be individuals seeking assistance with your relationship with alcohol. You will work closely with clients utilizing a harm-reduction model, providing support for those interested in moderation as an alternative to complete abstinence. You will address a diverse range of backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care tailored to each individual's goals. By leveraging community resources such as AA and Smart Recovery, you will guide clients in their recovery journeys while highlighting the collaborative nature of our approach. Qualifications Must hold a valid license as either a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington. Experience and/or training in evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. A deep understanding of trauma-informed care practices and the ability to demonstrate empathy and clinical engagement. Awareness of community recovery support options available to clients and the ability to integrate these into treatment discussions. Preferred Experience Prior experience in outpatient settings or telehealth services is highly valued. Familiarity with harm-reduction strategies and the ability to navigate clients through various treatment options. Previous involvement in community outreach or education concerning alcohol use and recovery.
