Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify the mental health needs of your clients and devise individualized treatment plans. Utilize the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders to inform treatment goals and guide effective clinical interventions. Engage clients through individual, group, and family counseling sessions, emphasizing evidence‑based practices tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Provide timely evaluations and follow‑up care, ensuring continuity of treatment and monitoring progress. Collaborate with a diverse team of primary care providers and behavioral health specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to each client’s care. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation using electronic health record systems and telehealth software. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Stay current with ethical standards and legal regulations governing the practice of mental health counseling. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on serving a varied clientele which may include veterans, individuals facing psychiatric challenges, and those dealing with substance abuse issues. You will utilize your skills to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring your approach is sensitive to their cultural and individual needs. The role emphasizes a commitment to empowering patients through education, support, and personalized care strategies. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in a related mental health field is required. Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Strong understanding of clinical practices and the ability to fulfill credentialing requirements for clinical settings. At least one year of direct experience working with psychiatric patients and substance abuse populations. Proficiency in the use of technology, including basic computer skills for documentation and telehealth services. Preferred Experience Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field. Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and both individual and group therapy settings. Prior exposure to integrated care models and collaborative health systems. Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth platforms. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a sign‑on bonus.
