Clinic Receptionist

40 hrs/wk; 8a-5p, M-F. Columbus Psychiatry Clinic is seeking a compassionate, organized, and professional clinic receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals seeking behavioral health services while managing front desk operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering and routing calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and demographic information, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. The receptionist also plays a key role in supporting clinic efficiency and ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and demonstrates empathy when working with patients. A high school diploma and at least one year of receptionist, customer service, or front desk experience are required. Prior healthcare or behavioral health experience is preferred, and familiarity with healthcare billing and insurance claims is a plus.
