Sales Director - New Business Credit Union Sales

Directs and controls the activities for new core opportunities within the Credit Union market across the United States. Responsible for obtaining that quota and managing the sales representatives within that team.
This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you'll be responsible for:
- 30% - Develop and travel with the Sales Executives on a regular basis.
- 30% - Develop strategies for attainment of sales goals for new core opportunities.
- 15% - Assist Sales Executives with all contract-related duties.
- 10% - Participate in consultant meetings.
- 10% - Participate in senior sales management policy and planning meetings.
- 5% - Manage budget (income and expense) requirements.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a sales position within the Financial or Financial Technology field.
- Required travel – 30%.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Graduate Degree.
- 3 years in a sales management role.
- Financial or Financial Technology Industry Management experience.
- Significant leadership experience.
- Public speaking skills.
- Wide latitude for independent judgment.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of e-mail, internet software, spreadsheets, project office, word processing.
Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve skills such as negotiating or influencing matters of significance to the organization. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. Manages departmental structure, workforce planning, career development, training, planning and budgeting. Performs hiring, firing, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching, and pay reviews.
