AI/ML Governance Lead - Vice President

Join a team shaping responsible use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI in a highly regulated environment. You will translate policy into practical processes, controls, and scalable tooling. You will provide transparency through executive reporting and help prepare responses for audit, regulatory, and client requests.As an AI/ML Governance Lead - Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Bank’s Digital, Data and Artificial Intelligence organization, you will help set and execute the governance framework that enables responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI. You will partner closely with risk, legal, compliance, and technology stakeholders to translate policy into clear processes, controls, and scalable tooling. You will drive transparency through executive reporting and ensure the organization is prepared for audit, regulatory, and client requests.Job responsibilitiesDevelop and evolve the AI governance strategy to address emerging technologies—including agentic AI, autonomous and multi-agent systems, and generative AI—ensuring governance frameworks keep pace with the rapidly changing AI landscapeResearch, evaluate, and stay current on new AI tools, models, and capabilities (e.g., large language models, agent orchestration frameworks, and third-party AI platforms), translating technical developments into governance implications, controls, and policy updatesSupport the definition and adoption of the in-business analytics ownership operating model, including clear roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across stakeholdersMaintain and continuously improve artificial intelligence and machine learning governance documentation (procedures, charters, operating models, and job aids), including managing periodic reviews and refresh cyclesPartner with data science, architecture, engineering, and data stakeholders to assess impacts of new policies, standards, and procedures, and translate requirements into actionable implementation plansCoordinate and drive end-to-end execution of Commercial & Investment Bank-wide rollout plans, including communications, milestones, dependencies, and adoption trackingDesign and build executive-ready governance reporting and dashboards that provide clear visibility into adherence, risk themes, and remediation progressPartner with controls management to identify, document, and monitor artificial intelligence and machine learning risks, issues, and actions through established governance forumsServe as a liaison and quality control point for audit, regulatory, and client inquiries, ensuring responses are accurate, consistent, and supported by evidenceEnhance and streamline governance by helping define and execute the strategic roadmap for governance tooling, including requirements definition and process standardizationFacilitate working sessions and stakeholder forums to drive alignment, resolve blockers, and promote consistent best practices across lines of businessRequired qualifications, capabilities and skillsFormal training or certification on artificial intelligence and machine learning governance concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExperience delivering or governing artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI solutions within financial services or a highly regulated environmentFamiliarity with agentic AI and generative AI, including large language models, agent orchestration frameworks, autonomy levels, human-in-the-loop design, and tool/action permissioningDemonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across risk, legal, compliance, controls, business, and technology teamsStrong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPointStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical processes and controlsProven ability to influence across teams, build consensus, and drive adoption without direct authorityStrong attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and changes in prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving environmentPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skillsExperience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or AlteryxFamiliarity with model risk management concepts and governance expectations for machine learning modelsKnowledge of banking, markets, and trading, and how analytics is applied across those domainsExperience building executive reporting routines, metrics, and dashboards that support governance and control outcomesExposure to governance tooling implementation, workflow design, or controls automation initiatives JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
