Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,435–$2,514 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour nights (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) Start date: 10/05/2026 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital; leadership role on a nursing unit Responsibilities Provide unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel; ensure safe, cost-effective, high-quality care with strong patient satisfaction and safety Conduct rounds to assess patient care needs, introduce self to patients and families, and develop care plans with the health team Initiate and coordinate conferences with health team members, patients, and families to revise care plans as needed Monitor staff performance and resource use; ensure timely completion of care activities; participate in direct patient care as needed Support quality improvement efforts; foster patient- and family-centered care with cultural sensitivity and attention to diverse needs Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Master’s Degree preferred Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience; at least two years in a supervisory/charge-nurse role Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within the last two years EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience Ability to work in a high-acuity short-term acute care setting; night shift availability Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours for the assignment 13-week contract with potential extension opportunities Dedicated support from the travel nursing team throughout the assignment Credentialing and onboarding coordination to facilitate a smooth start Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
