This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working independently, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, and would rather spend much of the workday moving and accomplishing visible tasks than sitting behind a desk.

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean interior and exterior areas
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners

• Load, transport, and dispose of trash and cleaning debris as directed
• Replenish restroom and facility consumables
• Inspect assigned areas and report damage, vandalism, safety hazards, or unusual conditions

• High-reach dusting and cleaning
• Cleaning of elevated surfaces using professional extension and high-reach equipment
• Commercial vacuuming and specialty extraction work
• Post-construction and project-based cleanup
• Other specialty cleaning services provided by The Cleaning Squad®

Employees will receive training on company equipment and procedures before being assigned to specialty work.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and carry equipment
• Lift and carry trash, cleaning supplies, hoses, tools, and equipment
• Perform work both indoors and outdoors
• Work in hot, cold, dusty, wet, or otherwise changing environmental conditions
• Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment after training
• Perform repetitive cleaning and physical tasks throughout a shift
• Work around public facilities, parks, trash collection areas, and active commercial properties

Some assignments may involve working at elevated heights or using high-reach equipment. Employees must follow all company safety procedures and may only operate equipment for which they have been properly trained and authorized.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to report to scheduled assignments on time
• Comfortable performing physical and outdoor work
• Willing to handle trash and perform restroom and janitorial cleaning
• Able to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional and respectful when working around customers and members of the public
• Able to safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment after training
• Smartphone proficiency for schedules, timekeeping, job instructions, and communication
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred
• Reliable transportation required

Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities maintenance, pressure washing, window cleaning, construction, landscaping, or other hands-on field experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Schedule

This is a part-time field position. Hours and work locations may vary depending on customer schedules and project needs. Early-morning, daytime, evening, weekend, or project-based assignments may be available.
