Procurement Specialist
Pay: $72.00/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: 12-Month Contract
Overview
We're seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support regional capital equipment, goods, and services procurement initiatives. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic sourcing, optimize supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business units, functional teams, and procurement stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives and resolve purchasing issues.
- Lead and support strategic sourcing projects for capital equipment, goods, and services.
- Utilize procurement tools to manage RFIs, RFPs, reverse auctions, and supplier sourcing activities.
- Review purchase orders and requisitions for policy and procedural compliance.
- Identify cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities through market research and supplier analysis.
- Analyze procurement data to support strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams across multiple regions to execute competitive bid projects.
- Develop procurement updates and supplier reviews for leadership, including upcoming projects and business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with procurement and spend management systems.
- Knowledge of RFIs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
