Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering, with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• We require 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and resolve complex technical issues within the domain.
• We need enterprise architecture leadership across end-to-end application, data, and infrastructure design for large-scale platforms, including Java services, APIs, databases, messaging, and cloud or on-premises environments.
• We look for hands-on software engineering experience, with the ability to write, review, and troubleshoot production-grade code, particularly in Java and related backend technologies.
• We require demonstrated leadership of mission-critical, high-volume, customer-facing platforms.
• We expect strong solution design and review experience focused on security, resiliency, scalability, and performance across development, testing, and production.
• We need strong technical program execution capability across multiple concurrent initiatives, with effective management of dependencies, prioritization, and delivery risk.
• We require experience influencing resources, budget, and operating models or processes across teams as a senior decision-maker.
• We look for effective cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Product, Operations, Risk, and Lines of Business, including work with regulatory and audit expectations for authentication and security controls.
• We require proven people leadership, including the ability to lead and mentor globally distributed senior engineers while building accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
• We expect experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models using enterprise-authorized tools, including governance, measurement frameworks, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs.
• We need deep understanding of responsible AI risks, controls, and resiliency or security expectations at scale, with the ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption and reuse-first strategies.
• Preferred: experience in IAM and customer authentication, including OIDC/OAuth2, SAML2, FIDO2/WebAuthn, and modern authentication patterns such as MFA, risk-based or step-up authentication, federation, and SSO.
• Preferred: excellent executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical trade-offs into clear decisions for senior stakeholders.

• We define and lead the engineering strategy for mission-critical, high-volume customer authentication platforms with strict availability expectations.
• We serve as a firmwide senior technology advisor on customer authentication and IAM strategy.
• We provide enterprise-level technical leadership and architectural governance for customer authentication platforms using standards-based protocols such as OIDC, SAML2, and FIDO2.
• We own and evolve full-stack architecture across application, data, and infrastructure layers, including Java services, APIs, databases, messaging, and supporting infrastructure.
• We review and validate solution designs to ensure security, scalability, resiliency, and performance across development, testing, and production environments.
• We drive execution across multiple concurrent enterprise initiatives, managing priorities, dependencies, and technical risk.
• We make decisions that affect resourcing, budgets, tactical operations, and the implementation of processes and procedures.
• We partner with Product, Operations, Risk, and Lines of Business to align authentication capabilities with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and customer experience goals.
• We lead and mentor globally distributed senior engineering teams, fostering engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• We set and scale multi-department strategy for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation using enterprise-authorized tools, establishing guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, traceability, and reuse.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchain capabilities, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation, to drive cross-domain reuse and measurable capacity unlock outcomes across departments.
