HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY)

Job Title
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in support of the Air Reserve Personnel Center's office, which is primary responsible for researching, verifying, correcting and updating the Military Personnel Data System the users (MilPDS) of for various data items to ensure the proper career credit and accurate accounting of members for PAS S7 our Reserve resources; being accountable to and officially documenting transfers of members within the portion of the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) and Standby Reserve; and to perform various other military personnel duties as required.
Duties GS-05
- Performs developmental work assignments
- Performs recurring work assignments
- Participates in special studies and projects
- Prepares written correspondence and other documentation
Duties GS-06/07
- Assists in performing analyses, computes, verifies and updates for a variety of data elements in MilPDS for Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members in accordance with current and historical laws, governing directives and internal policies
- Assists in making the appropriate determinations of member's status and proper assignment within IRR/Standby Reserve
- Independently develops and provides verbal and written responses to inquiries and answers questions either through the Case Management System (CMS), REMEDY, telephone, writing, E-mail
- Assists in processing gain actions and loss requests within IRR/Standby Reserve S7 PAS
- Inquires correct against office and updates computer files.
