Pricing Analyst

Summary The Pricing Analyst is responsible for margin analysis, management, and reporting of invoiced profit by reviewing key drivers that exceed thresholds, conflict with supplier contracts, or cause discrepancies. The analyst also analyzes historical data and the MOP pricing tool to inform the Sales Team of optimal price targets, implements price increases, and maintains accurate customer pricing data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily review and analysis of the Invoice Hold report to identify margin drivers and ensure accurate pricing before invoicing. Research historical data to analyze margin, cost, freight, and price fluctuations. Communicate margin variances to the Sales Team and recommend optimal pricing to improve profit. Use pricing tools to determine optimal margin for product lines and customer stratification. Support the implementation of price/cost changes. Maintain accurate customer product file data for key accounts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and use of ERP and CRM systems. Other Responsibilities Adhere to department procedures and policies. Support the principles of Responsible Distribution™. Assume additional activities as directed. Previous analyst experience; pricing experience helpful. Knowledge of the chemical industry helpful. Ability to multitask, stay organized, manage time, prioritize critical work. Self‑motivated, honest, dependable, with high integrity. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented, strong analytical and math skills. Proficient with PC and MS Office, especially Excel. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence. Ability to present information effectively in written and spoken form. Respectful and confidential with sensitive issues. Team‑based and quality‑driven environment, accountable to teammates. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions and manage abstract and concrete variables.
