Pricing Analyst

Summary The Pricing Analyst is responsible for margin analysis, invoice review, and price optimization to maximize profitability. The role supports the pricing team by implementing price changes, maintaining accurate customer pricing data, and utilizing ERP, CRM, and pricing tools. Responsibilities Daily review and analysis of the Invoice Hold report to identify key drivers impacting margin and confirm accurate pricing, material cost, and freight before invoice. Research historical data to inform margin, cost, freight, and price fluctuations. Communicate margin variances and optimal pricing recommendations to the Sales Team. Utilize pricing tools to determine optimal margin for product lines and customer stratification. Support implementation of price and cost changes. Maintain accurate customer product files and perform related data entry. Adhere to department procedures, policies, and Responsible Distribution principles. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide assistance as directed. Competencies Attention to Detail : Thoroughness, monitoring, and organization. Prior analyst experience required; pricing experience helpful. Knowledge of the chemical industry advantageous. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP/CRM systems. Excellent interpersonal, time‑management, and organizational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence. Strong reasoning and problem‑solving abilities. Computer literacy in internet software, inventory and order processing systems, project management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
