CoWorx Staffing Services has immediate Direct Hire Maintenance Mechanic openings with a fantastic, employee-focused client in the Somerset, NJ area!

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and inspect production machinery.
• Read and follow work orders for service, modification, or installation of machinery.
• Improve equipment condition and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
• Manage procurement and inventory control of maintenance parts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers and suppliers.
• Train and develop junior staff.
• Plan and perform maintenance of factory facilities, including production equipment, building systems, structures, fire protection systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Accurately document and maintain detailed maintenance history records.
• Monitor, record, and utilize equipment data.
• Develop and implement mid- to long-term maintenance and improvement plans.
• Plan, procure, and manage contractor work, including payment processing.
• Support parts procurement by maintaining optimal inventory levels, selecting appropriate parts, and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
• Share information and provide reports within and across departments.
• Coordinate across departments to maximize plant efficiency.

Desired Background/Skills:

• High school diploma required; technical school education preferred.
• Two years of experience as a manufacturing mechanic required.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Experience replacing motors, belts, bearings, pulleys, sprockets, chains, cylinders, and similar components.
• Proficiency in plumbing, wiring, welding, and drilling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Other Information:

Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat – 7am – 4pm

OT Required when needed

Able to work Mon-Fri during probation (8am-5pm) if possible
