Legal Assistant- Settlement Department (Personal Injury) We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury Settlement team. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working with numbers while managing a fast-paced caseload. Responsibilities: Prepare and organize settlement packages and supporting documents Review medical bills, liens, and settlement statements for accuracy Calculate disbursements and verify settlement figures Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met Assist attorneys and paralegals throughout the settlement process Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of Personal Injury legal experience required Experience with settlement processing is preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic math proficiency and ability to work with financial figures accurately Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software is a plus Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly DOE • Prepare and organize settlement packages and supporting documents • Review medical bills, liens, and settlement statements for accuracy • Calculate disbursements and verify settlement figures • Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers • Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met • Assist attorneys and paralegals throughout the settlement process Lloyd Baker Injury Attorneys
