Wellies bring their best to work every day, come ready to collaborate, embrace the hard things, and own their outcomes.What You'll Accomplish:Providing upmost care and maintenance for the safety and wellbeing of our employees and equipment.Repair and maintain machinery used in the manufacture of productsTroubleshoot process and automation equipment, including packaging, injection molding, extrusion, robotics, and conveyorsOptimize process parameters in coordination with production to obtain quality productsInterpret schematics, blueprints, manuals, work instructions, and other technical documentsInspect products for surface defects and flaws to propose process adjustmentsPerform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as neededMust maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area at all timesParticipate in the audits and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actionsCompletes all required daily and maintenance reports & documentationMust adhere to the plant's HACCP plansFollows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)Diagnose and resolve PLC operated packing equipmentMay be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assignedWho We're Looking For:Team Wellie is a group of people who are truly obsessed with all the best ways about winning for the consumer and the pets they love. We foster an inclusive work environment and are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.Position Summary:Properly perform preventative maintenance, while ensuring a proper production flow, to the production lines.Preferred Experience:Troubleshooting issues with injection molding, extrusion, robotics, and automation equipment.Optimize equipment process settings to create consistent productAssist production operators on basic troubleshootingInstallation, removal, and storing of molds based on production scheduleAutomation adjustments (speeds, feeds, timing, etc.) of packaging equipmentSetup auxiliary equipment including Fanuc robot, grinder, take-away conveyors, etcInstall water lines, airlines, hot runners, or other machine utilities as neededCarry out preventative maintenance on machines in collaboration with maintenance teamElectrical Knowledge: 110 to 480 voltsUse of handheld power toolsSafety:Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Environmental Health & Safety ManagerResponsible to participate in mandatory safety training program requirements.Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries.Quality & Food Safety:Completes quality and food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager.Responsible to participate in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements.Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policy Manual. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies.Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.Position Requirements:Minimum of a high school education1 - 3 years related field experienceRequired to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple mathRequired to lift up to 50 poundsRegularly sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facilityExposed to shop elements such as noise, dust odors, fumes, oils and greasesAbility to drive vehicle during the workday is requiredWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assignedGood math and analytical skillsGood communication skills (oral and written)Ability to work well with othersSelf-MotivatedAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentComputer (PC) skills, with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)Adaptable/Flexible: Functions effectively within ever-changing environments.
