Part-Time Accounting Assistant

Smith Allergy & Asthma Specialists of CNY is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day financial and administrative needs of our growing medical practice.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, comfortable working independently, and has basic accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Enter and maintain accurate financial information
• Assist with processing invoices and payments
• Reconcile accounts and help maintain organized financial records
• Assist with reviewing statements and identifying discrepancies
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and business information

Qualifications

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or related office experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, recommended
• Some knowledge or experience with QuickBooks is helpful but not required
• Basic understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage tasks and priorities independently
• Dependable, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
