Sheet Metal Technician

Sheet Metal TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team for an exciting new build medical facility project located in New Albany, OH. This project is expected to last for about a year and offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team on an industrial project installing ductwork and sheet metal.ResponsibilitiesInstall ductwork and sheet metal systems on industrial projects.Layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems according to blueprints and specifications.Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, curbs, louvers, and hangers.Maintain equipment in good working order and perform timely maintenance.Follow all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety.Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites.Essential SkillsExperience with RTUs, curb units, and various sizes of ductwork.Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.Proficiency in HVAC installation.Must possess OSHA 10 certification or higher, or ability to obtain before starting.Experience with setting curbs, hanging ducts, installing sheet metal, and setting rooftop units.Own hand tools including wrench, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, impact drill, 9/16ths sockets with impact adapter, and screwdrivers.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of experience with installing louvers, setting rooftop equipment, rigging, ductwork/sheet metal.Journeyman card is preferred.Valid license and reliable vehicle.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
