Senior Accountant

Location:1435 S Euclid Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713 | In-Office Position Salary: $75,000 per year Full-Time | Full Benefits Cool Willy’s is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Tucson, Arizona. This is a full‑time, in‑office position for an accounting professional who has a strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting and enjoys taking ownership of financial processes, solving problems, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree, hands‑on full‑cycle accounting experience, and the ability to work independently while partnering with operational leaders and the broader finance team. What You’ll Do Manage and perform full‑cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Assist with and take ownership of month‑end and year‑end close processes. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and supporting schedules. Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations. Review financial activity, identify discrepancies and variances, and research and resolve accounting issues. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in the appropriate accounting periods and accounts. Assist with cash management, expense tracking, and financial reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and internal controls to support financial reporting and audit requirements. Partner with operational leaders and other departments to improve accounting processes and ensure accurate financial information. Assist with audits, tax preparation, and other accounting projects as needed. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Strong full‑cycle accounting experience required. Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar accounting position preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with accounting, finance, and operational teams.
