Human Resources Manager (On-Site) — Des Plaines, ILSalary Range: $80,000 to $90,000
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 830a to 5p

  Overview

  This is an on-site HR leadership role (no direct reports) in a non-union facility. You’ll partner closely with leadership to manage day-to-day HR needs including employee relations, recruiting, payroll/benefits administration, performance support, and compliance. 

  Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted HR resource to managers and employees—resolve issues and provide practical HR guidance
• Own payroll responsibilities using Paycom
• Manage benefits administration and maintain accurate employee records (hiring, terminations, leaves, promotions)
• Maintain compliant job descriptions for recruiting and performance reviews
• Recruit, interview, and recommend candidates for open positions
• Partner with managers on performance and disciplinary matters, including documentation and terminations
• Maintain salary study data to support performance review decisions
• Investigate accidents and prepare documentation for the insurance carrier
• Coordinate with outside suppliers for temporary staffing support
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws
• Must-Have Qualifications
• Spanish fluency (effectively required)
• Payroll experience
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems ( Paycom experience strongly aligned)
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to work on-site 5 days/week in Des Plaines, IL
• Comfortable operating independently (this role has no direct reports )
