Information Technology Support Technician

The IT Support Technician will be providing both hands-on and remote technical support for end-user desktop computer devices to all employees, supporting a variety of technical issues including hardware/software/application/tools support, break/fix for hardware, laptops, tablets and other devices, printers/scanners/copiers/plotters, support network connectivity, AD, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, wireless and remote access VPN, MS Office Suite support. About the Role This person will have excellent end-user (customer) support and service skills and committed to follow-through and resolution, performing diagnostics, taking corrective actions for hardware, software, and peripheral equipment as necessary. Responsibilities The IT Support Technician is skilled at identifying network issues/errors, resolving them, or escalating as appropriate. The individual maintains a professional, healthy relationship with all fellow team members and management and demonstrates awareness of support issues/needs as they apply on a company-wide and business basis. This person is adept in creating/maintaining documentation to support, enforce standards, policies, and processes. Extensive support, ideally someone coming from an engineering firm that knows CAD/MicroStation/Bentley/3D engineering modeling/SolidWorks (not required but would be great). Couple years of support, Outlook/Teams issues, o365 environment, Windows 10 and 11. Hours are 8-5pm. Deskside support and over the phone support. Supporting iPhone and iPad, very few androids, 99% iPhone - very few Macs in environments. Another tech is also there, alternate days they are in office, covering each other's vacations - peer is someone who has been there for 5 years. 1 other person there, will alternate days with that person. Tickets coming in, local and the company overall as tickets from other regions come in. Build machines for new hires. Term users. Equipment retrieval. Using Microsoft's ticketing system. 6 month contract hire. Qualifications Experience supporting, Outlook/Teams issues, o365 environment, Windows 10 and 11. Required Skills Excellent end-user (customer) support and service skills. Ability to perform diagnostics and take corrective actions for hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. Skilled at identifying network issues/errors and resolving them. Ability to create/maintain documentation to support, enforce standards, policies, and processes.
