Paid Actuarial Intern: Data & Pricing

Responsibilities Come join the Verus team as a summer intern! Our interns work with many different people to learn and gain hands‑on experience in actuarial work and data. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in starting their career. We will be hiring an intern to learn and grow in a cohort environment. Interns are responsible for performing actuarial‑related support duties while gaining valuable real‑world experience which can be utilized both personally and professionally. Resume builder and steppingstone to a future career in the Insurance Industry. Assist with improving automation and building efficiencies to existing tasks. Analyze internal and external data. Assist with projects. Assist with actuarial analysis (pricing and reserving work). Qualifications Current college student (and/or recent graduate) working towards a degree program in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be willing to work collaboratively and embrace innovative ideas and processes. Must be technology focused and proficient in the use of a computer and its applications. Passing of one actuarial exam preferred. Proficiency with Excel and SQL preferred. Familiarity with basic insurance concepts through coursework preferred. Additional Company Details This is a 10‑week, paid internship – Monday, June 1, 2026 – Thursday, August 6, 2026. The hourly rate range based on a 37.5‑hour work week is $20.00 – $22.00 an hour. This role does not offer a benefits package, as it is a temporary, summer internship position.
