Senior Business Analyst – Data (Corporate Strategy) 50 Amica Way, Lincoln, RI 02865 This position is hybrid and requires onsite days at our Lincoln, RI campus. Join our Corporate Strategy team and help shape how we acquire, integrate, and leverage data to drive strategic outcomes. As a Business Analyst – Data, you will work closely with business stakeholders, Data & IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements, analyze data sources, and translate business needs into clear technical specifications. Responsibilities Partner with stakeholders to understand the business use cases Translate business needs into data requirements and technical specifications for data engineers Analyze source system APIs and data to guide ingestion and transformation Define data mapping, lineage, transformation, and data quality rules required to bridge the gap between source and the target Create clear data flow and process diagrams for technical and non‑technical audiences Support development of scalable, reliable data pipelines for analytics and AI Promote data integrity, quality, and governance Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership Recommend tools, products and services that support enterprise data goals Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience as a business or data analyst in a data migration or data warehouse role Strong knowledge of P & C insurance domain, especially claims and policy administration systems (Guidewire experience is a plus) Familiarity with the Investments domain is a plus Hands‑on experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda), SQL, and BI tools (MicroStrategy a plus), and data platforms like Teradata or Snowflake Proficiency with Agile, Jira, Confluence, Lucid/Visio, and Excel Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning Total Rewards Medical, dental, vision coverage, short‑ and long‑term disability, and life insurance Paid vacation – at least 13 vacation days in the first 12 months, potentially greater depending on the role; vacation time accrues monthly Holidays – 14 paid holidays observed Sick time – 6 days at hire, 6 additional days after 90 days of employment Generous 401k with company match and immediate vesting, plus an annual 3% non‑elective employer contribution Annual Success Sharing Plan – paid to eligible employees if company meets or exceeds combined ratio, growth and/or service goals Generous leave programs, including paid parental bonding leave Student Loan Repayment and Tuition Reimbursement programs Generous fitness and wellness reimbursement Equal Opportunity Policy: All qualified applicants who are authorized to work in the United States will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, family status, ethnicity, age, national origin, ancestry, physical and/or mental disability, mental condition, military status, genetic information or any other class protected by law.
