About this opportunity...

The New Market Analyst is responsible for supporting development of robust new market plans and execution of strategies. The New Market Analyst reports on new market performance, effectively analyzes drivers of sales trends, supports pre-season and in-season and hindsight’s quarterly new market performance. 

What you will do and what you will learn...

• Support development of new market budgets, pre-season planning and in-season guidance.
• Prepare reports / views to review pre-season plans. Review LY hindsights for opportunities / risks. Review plan revisions against pre-season callouts and recap plan opportunities / risks.
• Monitor weekly new market performance and monthly performance at the Sub-Division to understand sales trends.
• Review new market plans against in-season performance and pre-season callouts.
• Review and analyze new market plans against new market strategies; ensure strategies are appropriately funded.
• Review business monthly, quarterly and seasonally to hindsight potential risk and opportunities and share recommendations with manager.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as requested
• Partner cross-functionally across Planning, Allocation, and Merchandising to develop integrated business plans, support chain strategies, and ensure Best in Class experience with New Markets
• Conduct regular store visits to gain firsthand insights into customer preferences, shopping behaviors, and assortment performance, translating learnings into actionable recommendations for planning and merchandising strategies.

What you need to be successful...

• Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years’ retail merchandise planning experience involving sales and inventory planning and forecasting
• Demonstrated independence, communication, presentation skills and strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to partner and influence cross-functional partners
• Proficient in Excel and Power Point with strong technical and functional skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong retail math skills, analytical and conceptual skills
• Thorough knowledge of planning systems, Arthur Planning is strongly desirable

The base pay range for this role $98,000.00 to $110,000.00. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
